Congratulations Julie Mendoza School Liaison and PTO Volunteer. She always gives her best and above to make sure things get done at our school!

Our faculty and staff would like to recognize the great efforts, dedication, and hard work of our community paraprofessional, Mrs. Julie Mendoza. Mrs. Mendoza goes beyond her duties and helps with all activities that we have for our students. She is the little hand which has a big role in the success of Valley View North. Mrs. Mendoza always goes the extra mile daily to ensure a safe and positive environment for our school. She dedicates time to help us during all PTO's meetings. Mrs. Mendoza has become a key component of our front office. Thank you Mrs. Julie Mendoza and continue with the enthusiasm and positive perspective towards our school.

Nueva herramienta de seguridad iniciada en nuestra escuela. STOP IT App!

Our school now has another layer of enhanced security for our students.
We have launched an anti-bullying and anti-school violence mobile application.
The app can be run from phones, tablets and other devices.
The software allows people and students to denounce and report any suspicious activity, bullying or any thing that they feel awkward.


Nuestra escuela puso en funciones la aplicacion de programa movil STOPit! STOPit es una herramienta para reportar en linea y diseñada para impedir y mitigar el acoso escolar y abuso cibernético. La aplicacion es parte de la nueva esquema de seguridad diseñada para evitar problemas en las escuelas de Valley View ISD.

VVISD upgrading Security Protocols for all our campuses!

El Distrito Escolar esta actualizando y reforzando nuestros protocolos de Seguridad en todos los planteles del Distrito para salvaguardar la integridad y bienestar de nuestros estudiantes. Uno de ellos es zero tolerancia de mochilas cerradas o donde se pueda esconder contrabando. Por favor solo usar mochilas escolares perforadas o de plastico claro sin obstruir la vista hacia adentro.
La Administracion se reserva el criterio de aprobar o desaprobar mochilas traidas a nuestro plantel.
Otro cambio es el acceso limitado a nuestro campus. Si no traen identificacion oficial no tendra acceso. No Excepciones. Si no tiene licencia o Pasaporte valido tramite matricula Consular. Es importante que todos trabajemos juntos para la seguridad de nuestro campus e instalaciones del Distrito en general.

Mrs. Casillas Kinder Students enjoyed Read Across America on Friday March 02, 2018

Our students celebrated multiple activities in remembrance of "Dr. Seuss characters" by reading, doing arts and crafts and emulating characters of the books.

Theodor Seuss Geisel, known around the world as the beloved children's author Dr. Seuss, would have turned 114 years old Friday. His birthday is now recognized as Read Across America Day, where children all over the country celebrate their love of reading and learning.

Congratulations on Tiger Spotlight Mrs. Barajas 3rd Grade

The Spotlight goes to Mrs. Erica Barajas, 3rd Grade teacher. She uses a variety of teaching strategies to effectively motivate her students on a daily basis and to assure they are on task and ready to learn. Mrs. Barajas has pushed her students to their fullest potential, so they can be successful in their academic context. Mrs. Barajas is not only a "sharing and caring" person, but she is also an active leader of our school who promotes a positive culture and a strong morale at Valley View North Elementary. The District has become aware that there was a recent posting on social media stating that there will be a shooting at Valley View High School. In speaking to the Hidalgo Police Chief Rodolfo Espinoza, it was determined that this post originated in California and has been found to be a hoax and not true.
